May the Light of the Resurrection bring us peace, courage and new hope. Let us believe in ourselves and in the future of our country. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has delivered a message to this effect, on the occasion of the Resurrection of the Lord.

The official conveyed, through a video message, Easter greetings to all Moldovans – at home and abroad.

“The celebration of Holy Easter reminds us who we are and what truly binds us together. Wherever we may be – in our villages or far away, beyond the borders – we carry with us the same traditions: we bake Easter bread, dye eggs and keep alive the desire to be together,” said speaker Igor Grosu.

The speaker emphasized that we Moldovans represents a small nation, but one that knows how to preserve its faith, traditions and hope, and that in difficult times, we have shown that when we are united, we are invincible.

“Today, more than ever, we need unity. We need to care for one another. We need the confidence that the future is built together – here, at home, and wherever fate may take us. May the Light of the Resurrection bring us peace, courage and new hope. Let us believe in ourselves and in the future of our country. Happy Easter holidays! Christ is Risen!” stated Igor Grosu.

Orthodox Christians are celebrating Holy Easter today, considered the greatest feast of Christianity, which signifies the Resurrection of the Lord.
