Moldovan president says Moldova can have clean water, if we treat it with care, respect
Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has conveyed a message to the citizens on the World Water Day. ‘’We everybody want to be sure of the quality of the water which we consume and this comes only along with the care we have for our water resources,’’ the head of state said, the president press service has reported.
On the World Water Day, annually marked by the entire mankind on 22 March, the Moldovan president drew attention to the springs, wells and rivers which are nearby our homes, as well as to their state.
„We started paying more attention to the purification of the residual waters, in order to prevent rivers’ pollution. Last year, within the European Village Programme, we managed to approve the financing of the construction of the water-purifying station from Soroca, so much discussed in the society during years. We can have clean water, only if we treat it with care and respect!’’ President Maia Sandu stressed.
