More categories of people can benefit from discounts on the payment of the fixed health insurance premium till March 31.
According to the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM), this applies to owners of agricultural land, individuals involved in independent retail trade, founders of individual enterprises and peasant farms, holders of business patents, tenants and landlords, individuals involved in the purchase of products in phyto-technics or horticulture and items of the plant kingdom, foreign citizens with temporary or permanent residence rights in Moldova, as well as other citizens who are neither employed nor insured by the government. These categories of citizens benefit from an 80-per cent discount on the premium and will pay 2,527 lei.
At the same time, unemployed individuals practicing professions, such as notary, lawyer, bailiff, court expert, mediator, interpreter, translator, authorized administrator, or working independently as a family doctor, will pay the full premium.
After April 1, the fixed health insurance premium will cost 12,636 lei, without any discounts.
The premium can be paid via the government electronic payment service MPay, and the status of insured person becomes active immediately after payment.
CNAM recommends paying the premium as early as January, in order to ensure uninterrupted access to medical services. For additional information, citizens can contact the CNAM Info Service at 0800 99999 or email suport@cnam.gov.md.
