More than 60 digital public services restored, available on EVO portal in Moldova; 21 remain temporarily unavailable

A total of 61 digital public services have been restored and can be accessed through the www.evo.gov.md portal, while another 21 remain temporarily unavailable following the cyberattack on the governmental infrastructure. The Electronic Governance Agency (AGE) said that the remaining services would gradually resume operations after the completion of security checks.

According to AGE, together with the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service (STISC) and the Cyber Security Agency (ASC), measures to protect the digital infrastructure and restore public services are continuing.

The authorities noted that the cyber threat persisted, with continued attempts to attack government systems detected. However, the checks have not identified any new unauthorized data extractions from the systems managed by AGE as a result of these attempts.

At the same time, the institutions are analyzing the information extracted without authorization during the incident, in order to identify the affected individuals and the data targeted. AGE is preparing a mechanism to inform citizens individually, after verifying the lists and removing any possible overlaps or inconsistencies.

The agency said that, so far, the checks had not identified any changes or alterations to citizens' data in state registers as a result of the cyberattack.

The authorities will inform the public about the restoration of services, security measures and the confirmed results of the checks.

A massive cyberattack targeted the governmental digital infrastructure of Moldova during October 19-23, 2026. The hackers targeted approximately one million IDNPs and managed to extract the personal data of more than 750,000 citizens, representing the largest data breach in the country's history. The authorities assured that no unauthorized changes had been made to the state registers and that bank card data had not been compromised. At least 700 IP addresses involved in the attack were identified, and investigators are examining the involvement of advanced groups and the possible use of artificial intelligence.

The Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal investigation into the attack.
