
New deputy head appointed at Moldsilva Agency
Iulian Mamai is new deputy head of Moldsilva Agency. Government decided his appointment today.
Minister of Environment Sergiu Lazarencu presented the proposal at the cabinet meeting. Iulian Mamai holds a PhD in Biological Sciences, has 19 years of experience in the forestry field, and currently serves as head of the Forestry Fund Directorate within Moldsilva.
“Iulian Mamai's main responsibilities will involve coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the national program for expansion and rehabilitation of forests, ensuring legal and technical compliance of afforestation works, and initiating legislative proposals and public policies for the conservation and sustainable use of the forestry fund,” Lazarencu said.
Also today, Mihail Zaporojan, deputy head of the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision was appointed to the same position for a fixed term of one year, in the context of reaching retirement age.
