Over 15,000 citizens called for ambulance last week

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/- On 29 March - 4 April at the Dispatch Department of the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance, 15,013 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered. 5,891 patients were transported to the hospital medical institutions in the country, out of which 779 children.

According to the Center, in the top of the requests served continue to predominate those caused by respiratory emergencies - 4,631 requests, including 1,683 (IRVA) followed by cardiovascular emergencies - 2,636 requests, including 46 patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome and neurological emergencies - 1,865 requests, including 195 strokes.

During the same period, the Emergency Service received 69 requests due to toxic emergencies. AMU teams provided first aid to 10 people who became intoxicated with monoxide or carbon dioxide, 19 people who suffered alcohol intoxication and 18 people who became intoxicated with drugs.
