Over 15,000 patients called for ambulance last week
Chisinau, Feb. 22 / MOLDPRES /- Over the past week, emergency medical teams have provided first aid to 15,016 people.
According to the National Center for Prehospital Emergency Medical Care / CNAMUP /, the medical teams intervened in 3,436 patients with respiratory diseases, followed by patients with cardiac problems - 3,302, of which 52 patients with acute coronary syndrome, 2,095 of citizens with neurological pathologies, of which 233 strokes.
Also last week, at the IMSP CNAMUP dispatching department, 1,007 calls were registered due to traumatic emergencies, including for 53 people who suffered as a result of road accidents. After receiving emergency medical care, 48 patients, eight of whom had children, needed to be transported to the hospital.
The Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service also called 122 people with infectious emergencies, and 54 with intoxications, including 20 with drugs and 15 with alcohol. At the same time, the intervention of the ambulance was also requested for 29 people with burns. Five people were also diagnosed with hypothermia and one with frostbite.
