Prime Minister to Moldova Business Week 2026 participants: Moldova can win through speed, agility and trust

The Republic of Moldova can compete successfully for investments through speed, agility and trust, harnessing the advantages of an economy that is increasingly integrating into the European market and of a state capable of responding quickly to the needs of the business community. This was the message conveyed by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan at the 11th edition of Moldova Business Week (MBW 2026), which began today in Chișinău.

At the opening of the event, the official emphasized that political stability and the European path provide the Republic of Moldova with an important window of opportunity to accelerate economic reforms. The Government’s priorities are reducing bureaucracy, speeding up procedures, ensuring a predictable fiscal framework, improving infrastructure and building an administration that supports business development and the creation of new jobs.

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan urged investors to view the Republic of Moldova not only through the lens of the size of its domestic market, but also as a platform providing access to the European Union market and regional economic opportunities.

“We will never win through the size of our domestic market, but we can win through speed, agility and trust. We can quickly bring the right people to the table, change a bad regulation when necessary and rapidly test solutions at the national level,” the Prime Minister said.

Among the sectors highlighted as having growth prospects were IT, industry, energy, infrastructure, logistics, healthcare services and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as tourism. The participation of companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine, including through the development of logistics infrastructure in our country, also represents significant potential. The Government aims to support the expansion of these sectors by removing administrative barriers and attracting capital and technology.

“I invite you to take Moldova seriously. Bring capital, bring technology, build factories and infrastructure, develop services and use the Republic of Moldova as a base in the region, while the Government will be your advocate in this process,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Moldova Business Week 2026 takes place from September 28 to October 2, bringing together approximately 650 participants from around 50 countries and promoting the Republic of Moldova as a destination for investment, business development and expansion into regional and European markets. This year’s agenda is built around three pillars: European economic integration, investment in sectors with growth prospects and the export of services.

Over the five days, more than 30 events will take place in Chișinău and throughout the country, including thematic forums, sectoral roundtables, B2B meetings and study visits to various regions, with a focus on concrete investment and partnership opportunities.
