Moldovan-American sectoral cooperation discussed at Moldova's Defense Ministry
The sectoral cooperation between Moldova and the United States in the field of defense, as well as prospects for deepening the partnership have been discussed at the Defense Ministry during a meeting between Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of War Andrew Loomis.
The officials referred to the continued assistance provided by the American side for the development and modernization of the National Army through logistical support, training, exchanges of experience and expertise.
The discussions also focused on strengthening the Moldovan-American partnership and enhancing institutional capacities to address current hybrid threats. In the context, the sides also addressed the development of strategic communication capabilities.
The officials agreed to identify modern solutions for advancing reforms in the field and adapting the defense sector to new security challenges.
The meeting's agenda also included topics related to the European path of Moldova, the current priorities of the defense sector and the importance of support from external partners and international organizations in achieving these goals.
