
Parliament speaker visits central Moldova village
The village of Inesti, central Telenesti district, is an example of a locality that is constantly developing and moving steadily towards European standards. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu made statements to this effect, during his visit to Inesti today.
Igor Grosu emphasized that ‘’in Inesti, he encountered hardworking people who preserve traditions diligently and sincerely believe in the European future of Moldova.’’
'Today, I returned to Inesti, Telenesti district, and, as always, I encountered hardworking people who preserve traditions diligently and sincerely believe in the European future of Moldova,’’ said Igor Grosu.
The parliament speaker noted that, in Inesti, through the European Village programme, several projects had been implemented, including the expansion of the public lighting network, modernization of the sewage system and renovation of the Community Centre. At the same time, a pharmacy has been opened in the settlement and through the Europe is Close programme, a local road is set to be renovated.
‘’Inesti is an example of a locality that is constantly developing and moving steadily towards European standards. Through the European Village programme, essential things have been accomplished: the expansion of the public lighting network, modernization of the sewage system, and renovation of the Community Centre. Also, a pharmacy was opened under the Pharmacy in Your Village initiative, and through the Europe is Close programme, a local road is to be renovated,’’ the speaker noted.
The official said that investments in settlements of Moldova would continue, and it was important ‘’to maintain the direction we have embarked on - towards the big European family.’’
'Today, the people of Inesti have access to water, sewage, street lighting, well-equipped educational institutions, local businesses creating jobs and strengthening the rural economy. These are natural developments and our duty now is to maintain the direction we have embarked on - towards the big European family,’’ Igor Grosu added.
