The Qutub Minar Tower from New Delhi, India, has been illuminated in the colors of the Moldovan flag on the occasion of Independence Day.

The former ambassador of Moldova to India, Ana Taban, emphasized that this symbolic gesture showed the warm friendship between the two nations.

“For the first time, the iconic Qutub Minar in New Delhi was illuminated in the colors of the Moldovan flag on Independence Day. For us, it was not just a beautiful sight, but also a precious reminder that peace and freedom are the most valuable gifts. We are grateful to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Culture from New Delhi for their support in making this moment possible. Our thoughts of gratitude go to all those who contributed to the independence of the Republic of Moldova,” said Ana Taban.

Built of red brick at the beginning of the 13th century, with a height of 72.5 meters, Qutub Minar Tower is the tallest brick tower in the world and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
