Refugees from Ukraine can get personal identification number in digital format
Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - The people who took refuge from Ukraine, who will stay in Moldova for a longer period of time, will be able to benefit from public services based on the state identification personal number (IDNP), provided at the crossing of Moldova’s border, which can be downloaded with the help of a digital application, recently developed by the Electronic Governance Agency, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The new digital solution is integrated on the platform www.dopomoga.gov.md and can be used starting from 14 March 2022:
· The state personal identification number (IDNP) is a basic index at the identification of the private person in Moldova.
· The information on the identification number of the private person can be got online, on the platform www.dopomoga.gov.md, at the section, Get IDNP, by introducing the personal data from the identity act, held by the citizen who took refuge from Ukraine (passport for travelling abroad, internal identity paper or certificate of birth).
· This information can be downloaded easier in PDF format and submitted to the state bodies, in order to benefit from public services, at the employment, registration of minors in kindergartens or schools, opening of a bank account, registration of a company, etc.
· The state identification number (IDNP) is valid upon presentation of the identity act, on the basis of which the IDNP number was given.
· The information on IDNP was issued based on the data delivered by the Public Services Agency, which is registered at the crossing of Moldova’s border.
· In the situation when IDNP cannot be got through the www.dopomoga.gov.md portal, the foreign citizens who are temporarily in Moldova are to appeal to one of the multifunctional centres of the Public Services Agency (https://www.asp.gov.md/ro/informatii-utile/subdiviziuni-teritoriale) or at the Migration and Asylum Bureau (http://bma.gov.md/ro/servicii-teritoriale).
At the same time, the public entities where the refugees appeal will recognize these extracts and will be able to verify their authenticity by scanning the QR code.
The decision on the possibility to online get information on the identification number of the private person (IDNP) of the refugees from Ukraine was taken by Moldova’s Commission for Emergency Situations, under the Instruction No 7 from 4 March 2022, as emergency measure, which provides more possibilities of accommodation to the people who are temporarily in Moldova.
The platform, www.dopomoga.gov.md was launched on 1 March 2022 as a single point of access to information, which regards the assistance from which Ukrainians can benefit on the period of their say in Moldova and has been accessed by about 100,000 single visitors since its launch till present.
