
Romanian embassy in Moldova informs about measures on consular services provided by Romania in Moldova, given Coronavirus
Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of Romania in Moldova informs that, in the context of the evolution of the pandemic SARS COV 2 (Covid-19) (Coronavirus) and the measures adopted by Romania and Moldova, in order to protect the residents’ health, a string of measures were decided as to the consular services provided by the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau, Romania’s General Consulate from Balti, General Consulate of Romania in Cahul and the consular bureau from Ungheni, as of 16 March 2020.
Thus, the schedulings for the providing of consular services have been cancelled, given that the activity of work with the public at the consular offices from Moldova was restricted.
The entire consular staff remains at the disposal of Romanian citizens, in order to provide consular assistance in special situations or emergency solidly justified consular services, triggered by special needs (for instance, deaths, accidents, acts demanded by local authorities, in the context of the pandemic, etc.).
In accordance with the measures imposed by the local authorities, the Embassy of Romania calls for understanding the fact about the emergency situation and asks to further follow and observe their recommendations.
The overcoming of this delicate situation for everybody, with high degree of exposition, depends on the good cooperation between the institutions and citizens.

The resumption of the normal schedule of work with public will be announced both on the webpage of the diplomatic mission and the consular offices, as well as by notification on the personal account of each of them on the website: www.econsulat.ro.
The Embassy of Romania reiterates the fact that the aforementioned measures have a temporary character and represent a proof of the respect and concern it has about the people’s health condition.
