Silver and bronze medals for students from Moldova at Balkan Mathematical Olympiad
Students from the Republic of Moldova won one silver medal and three bronze medals at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, held in Greece.
The silver medal was obtained by Marius Cerlat, a student at Orizont Theoretical Lyceum in Durlești, Chișinău, while the bronze medalists are Alin Popescu, Anastasia Corsac and Alexandr Ivanicichin, students of the same educational institution.
The 43rd edition of the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad took place in the city of Thessaloniki, Hellenic Republic, from 3 to 8 May 2026. The competition brought together 148 students from 25 countries. The Republic of Moldova was represented by six students and two teachers.
