VIDEO // Moldovan PM conveys message on Romanian Language Day from Japan
Prime Minister Dorin Recean has conveyed a congratulatory message on Romanian Language Day, highlighting the importance of the language as an identity and unity element for all citizens.
"Wherever we are, the Romanian language defines us as a nation, strengthens our roots and unites us. Our ancestors fought for it, nurtured it, and passed it on to us with dignity. Let us speak correctly, read in Romanian and be free in our language!" wrote the Prime Minister on social media.
The PM noted that he was sending this message from Japan, where he is on a working visit, noting that Moldovans and the Romanian language are respected in this country.
