Superior Council of Magistracy to propose to Moldovan president appointment of three judges to Supreme Court of Justice

The Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) will propose to President Maia Sandu the appointment of three magistrates as judges at the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ).

According to the CSM, the concerned judges are Alexandru Negru, Gheorghe Stratulat and Sergiu Stratan, all from the Chisinau Court.

The candidates were selected through the competition for filling the vacant positions of judge at the CSJ.

"The competition was conducted in accordance with the legal provisions in force and the selection criteria established by the CSM, with the goal of identifying the most qualified and experienced magistrates to serve as judges at the supreme court. During the selection process, the candidates were evaluated based on their professional experience, legal knowledge and the competencies required to perform their duties at the CSJ," the CSM said.

Following the analysis of the files and the interviews, the CSM ruled that the three magistrates would be put forward to the Moldovan president for appointment as judges at the CSJ.
