Traffic at Moldovan-Ukrainian border partially suspended after drone attacks in Ukraine
At this hour, traffic at Palanca and Tudora border crossing points is partially suspended following the drone attacks on Ukrainian territory during the night. Traffic on Palanca-Udobnoe segment is halted.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, last night, 85 people, including 33 children, received assistance at the temporary mobile camp set up by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) in cooperation with the Border Police.
According to the authorities, at 04:10, crossing the Maiaki-Udobnoe bridge was suspended after a new drone attack.
In the morning, at PTF Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe, activity was halted for those exiting the Republic of Moldova. At PTF Tudora-Starokazacie, crossing is only allowed for travelers moving towards Belgorod (Ukraine).
In both crossing points, there is no passenger flow. Also, traffic on the Palanca-Udobnoe segment is suspended.
The Border Police recommends redirecting travelers to PTF Otaci-Moghilev-Podolsk.
Additionally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announces that coordination with Ukrainian authorities is maintained and the option of installing a pontoon bridge on the riverbank is being explored.
All vehicles heading towards Odesa are being redirected back to the Republic of Moldova. Authorities recommend avoiding travel in this direction.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reiterates that the situation is under control, continuously monitored, and the structures remain mobilized and coordinated to ensure citizens' safety.
