
Two students of Florești ranked second at contest in South Korea
Chisinau, August 14 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova is for the second consecutive year among the winners of the international contest dedicated to mobile application developers - e-ICON World Contest. Two students from Florești took second place in the mobile application competition, held in South Korea.
Irina and Daniela Grosu, students at Miron Costin Theoretical High School in Florești ranked second, developing a mobile application that can contribute to increasing students' academic performance. Teenage girls studied the design and development of mobile applications under Tekwill in every school program, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).
In 2022, Moldova participated for the first time in the contest organized by the government of South Korea, and the team called Green Energy, composed of the two students - Irina Grosu and Gheorghe Manolache, brought a special achievement for Moldova, occupying third place internationally with a mobile application designed to combat poor eating habits.
Currently, 50 thousand students from 333 educational institutions in the country are studying at least one of the eight professions of the future, thanks to the partnership between the project Tekwill in Every School and MEC. The project is implemented under the auspices of Tekwill, in partnership with MEC, with the support of external development partners - the European Union, Sweden, UNDP Moldova.
