USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" to hold oath-taking ceremony for doctors and pharmacists
Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) will hold oath-taking ceremony for doctors and pharmacists for the 2026 graduates.
The event will take place on June 16 this year, starting at 11:00, at Arena Chișinău. The ceremony will be held in Romanian and English.
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Minister of Health Emil Ceban, members of the university administration, heads of departments and studies, professors, students, parents and friends will participate in the event.
This year, after passing their degree and graduation exams, 966 young specialists will solemnly take the oath: 753 nationals and 213 foreign citizens from 16 countries (India, Israel, Tunisia, USA, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, Cyprus, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, Jordan, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia).
The young graduates have completed the following integrated study programs: Medicine – 590, Dentistry – 208, Pharmacy – 80, and the following bachelor’s programs: Physical therapy and rehabilitation – 36, General nursing – 21, Public health – 12, Optometry – 12, and Radiology and imaging technologies – 7 graduates.
Another 81 people have completed their studies in master’s programs: Public mental health – 15, Advanced nursing – 14, Human nutrition – 13, Clinical optometry – 6, Molecular technologies in health – 4, Early childhood intervention – 1, and Health public management – 28.
The ceremony will conclude with an artistic performance by singer Satoshi, who represented the Republic of Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 and ranked 8th in the final stage.
