USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" to receive medical equipment and supplies under Moldovan-Chinese project
Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) will receive medical equipment and supplies under the technical assistance project for the Traditional Chinese Medicine Center (CMTC), which will be launched on 24 March.
The event will be held at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Center, 26/2 Nicolae Testemițanu Street, starting at 09:00.
The ceremony will be opened by First Vice-Rector Olga Cernețchi, Vice-Rector for Teaching Activity and Academic Management of USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu", Minister of Health Emil Ceban and Victor Lacusta, Head of the Department of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
The Chinese delegation will be represented by Her Excellency Dong Zhihua, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Moldova, Gao Fengli, Economic Counselor of the Embassy, as well as teaching staff from Gansu University of Chinese Medicine, delegated as specialist doctors to CMTC: Professors Jin Jianjun and Yan Chunlu, Associate Professor Liu Anguo, and Lecturer Zhan Yanfeng.
Phase III of the technical assistance project for the Traditional Chinese Medicine Center provides for the delegation of a team of Chinese specialists, the delivery of medical equipment and supplies, Chinese medicinal plants and patented medicines, as well as cooperation in the training and professional development of doctors from the Republic of Moldova in the acupuncture, manual therapy and phytotherapy.
