Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today went to the Balti municipality, in order to discuss with the local public administration and citizens the resumption of water supply in the northern districts. The official noted that the authorities recommend that, in the next 48 hours, water be used only for household purposes.
The PM thanked the residents from north Moldova for their patience and understanding on the difficult period in which water delivery was suspended.
“In particular, I thanked the team of doctors from the Dialysis Center for the work carried out in complicated conditions and for the lives saved. I also spoke with the citizens who are using the mobile water distribution point made available by the National Army and managed by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU). I thank the people of Balti for their patience and understanding during this difficult period,” said Alexandru Munteanu.
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today announced the resumption of drinking water supply in the districts of Balti, Soroca, Sangerei and Floresti, following the confirmation of safety indicators through laboratory tests.
According to the PM, the supply process is being carried out in stages, under the supervision of technical teams that have worked to remedy the situation. Recent analyses of water quality have shown that it falls within safe limits for human consumption, which has allowed the reopening of distribution networks to the affected settlements.
