Evolution of Moldovan sportspeople at Paris Olympic Games: judoka Mihail Latîșev, sportswoman Alisa Glinka, archer Alexandra Mîrca

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan sportspeople, judoka Mihail Latîșev and Alisa Glinka, archer Alexandra Mîrca performed at the Paris Olympic Games on 30 July. Although they were defeated in competition with the world champions, the Moldovan sportspeople proved an outstanding force and courage, according to the website www.Olympic.md.       

Judoka Mihail Latîșev, aged 20 years, played against the world champion of the last three years, Georgian Tato Grigalashvili. Although Latisev was defeated in terms of score, he proved an outstanding force and courage, fighting up to the last second.     

Archer Alexandra Mîrca played against sportswoman Syaqiera Mashayikh from Malaysia, who gained victory against the Moldovan sportswoman. On 1 August, Dan Olaru will also perform at the individual event.   

Sportswoman Alisa Glinka experienced an unforgettable moment at her debut at the Olympic Games, impressing through a score of 66.056 at the event of equitation, training. This remarkable result made her rank ninth in the C Group, thus marking an emotional finishing of the sportswoman’s participation in the 2024Paris Olympic Games.   

Moldova is represented by 26 sportspeople at the Paris Olympic Games, who compete at ten events.  

So far, the Moldovan Olympic team has won two bronze medals, got by judokas Denis Vieru and Adil Osmanov.      

The performance of the Moldovan sportspeople at the current edition of the Olympic Games, for the time being, is described as one of the most successful.
