Wrestler Mihaela Samoil wins bronze medal at European Championship
Freestyle wrestler Mihaela Samoil has won the bronze medal at the U-23 European Wrestling Championship.
In the bronze-medal match in the 55 kg weight category, the athlete defeated Bulgarian wrestler Nesrin Sebaydinova Siuleimanova with a score of 10–0.
Before reaching the bronze-medal match, Mihaela Samoil defeated Albina Rilla from Ukraine and Alexandra Voiculescu from Romania.
At the previous edition of the European Wrestling Championship for athletes under 23 years of age, Mihaela Samoil became European vice-champion.
This is the third medal so far won by our freestyle wrestlers at the U-23 European Wrestling Championship in Zrenjanin, Serbia, after the gold medal claimed by Alexandr Gaidarli and the bronze medal secured by Alexandru Borș.
