Moldova national team draw with Bulgaria at friendly match played in Chisinau

The national team of Moldova drew 2-2 at a friendly match against Bulgaria, played at the Zimbru Stadium of Chisinau on June 4.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Georgi Rusev and went into half-time in the lead. The Moldovan team equalized in the 60th minute through Victor Bogaciuc, but the Bulgarians went ahead again after a goal scored by Marin Petkov in the 76th minute.

The end of the match belonged to Lilian Popescu’s men, who managed to level the score in the 85th minute through defender Vladislav Baboglo, setting the final score at 2-2.

The match played in Chisinau was an important test for the national team of  Moldova ahead of their next warm-up game. The Moldovan team’s next encounter is scheduled for June 9 in Yerevan, against the national team of Armenia. The match will be played at the Republican Stadium “Vazgen Sargsyan” and will start at 18:00.

For Moldova, Victor Bogaciuc (60’) and Vladislav Baboglo (85’) scored, while Bulgaria’s goals were scored by Georgi Rusev (23’) and Marin Petkov (76’).
