Prime Minister and Denmark’s Ambassador approach new opportunities for investment and economic cooperation

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan held a meeting with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Moldova Søren Jensen. The head of the Government expressed gratitude for the constant support provided to our country, including in the European integration process and the implementation of projects with a direct impact on citizens.

Currently, the portfolio of projects supported by Denmark in the Republic of Moldova exceeds €60 million and covers areas such as energy resilience, the rule of law, cybersecurity, combating disinformation, security and defense, as well as crisis management.

Particular attention was paid to developing economic relations and attracting Danish investments to the national economy. The two officials discussed intensifying contacts between business communities and investment opportunities in areas such as the IT industry, agriculture and the agri-food sector, building energy efficiency, and green energy.

In this context, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan highlighted the advantages of the Republic of Moldova for investors and the country’s potential to serve as a platform for business development and access to regional and European markets. The parties expressed their openness to intensifying dialogue between companies from the two countries and developing new investment projects.
