Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Lithuanian President in Vilnius

Moldova has partners who believe in our European future and support us in moving forward with confidence and determination. Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi today made statements to this effect, during a meeting with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda in Vilnius.

The Moldovan diplomacy head thanked the official for Lithuania’s firm support for Moldova’s European path.

“At important moments for our country, the support and experience of our European friends matter enormously. We have partners who believe in the European future of Moldova and support us in moving forward with confidence and determination,” Mihai Popsoi emphasized.

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi is paying a working visit to Lithuania today. During the visit, the official met Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys. The head of Moldovan diplomacy will also meet Speaker of the Seimas Juozas Olekas, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Remigijus Motuzas, Chair of the Committee on National Security and Defence Rimantas Sinkevičius, as well as  Chief Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of Lithuania Asta Skaisgirytė.

The discussions will focus on the priorities of the Moldovan-Lithuanian cooperation, developments on Moldova’s European agenda, the promotion of economic and investment partnerships, as well as cooperation in the field of regional security.

Mihai Popsoi will also participate as a speaker in the discussion panel, The European Path of Moldova and the Country’s Foreign and Security Policy Priorities, organized by the Vilnius Centre for Geopolitics and Security Studies.
