
Moldovan weightlifter wins two medals at World Championships
Chisinau, Dec. 12 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan weightlifter Marin Robu has won two medals at World Weightlifting Championships, which is hosted by Manama, Bahrain.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, in the snatch competition, in the 89 kg weight category, Marin Robu registered the result of 173 kg, and took the silver medal.
In the throwing event, the athlete from the Republic of Moldova lifted 206 kg and took fourth place.
With the result of 379 kg, Marin Robu ranked third in the overall ranking and won the bronze medal.
