Modernization of sewage treatment plant in Causeni to be completed in 2021
Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/- About 70% of the reconstruction and modernization works of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Causeni have been completed. These are part of the investment project Construction of the sewerage system in Valul lui Traian sector and modernization of the wastewater treatment plant in Causeni, implemented by the South Regional Development Agency (ADR) from the sources of the National Fund for Regional Development.
The renovation works of the Causeni Wastewater Treatment Plant started in February last year and will be completed in 2021. As a result of the investments, the Causeni Wastewater Treatment Plant will be fully automated and will treat the water used from 60% of the city's inhabitants, from Cârnățeni, Zaim and Ursoaia villages.
Currently, in Causeni, works are being carried out for the rehabilitation of water basins, construction of buildings with grids, sand platforms, biological treatment block, sludge pumping station and electrical transformers.
The value of the rehabilitation works of the treatment plant in Causeni amounts to 46.4 million lei. In 2020, 15.2 million have been allocated for this purpose from the National Regional Development Fund.
The reconstruction of the treatment plant in Causeni is part of the investment project Construction of the sewerage system in Valul lui Traian sector and modernization of the wastewater treatment plant in Causeni and represents the second stage of its implementation. During the first stage, the sewerage network was built in the Traian's Valley sector in Causeni, on a length of 1.9 km, at a cost of 8.4 million lei.
In the future, it is planned to expand the services for servicing wastewater treatment and disposal facilities offered by Apa Canal Causeni in rural areas of Causeni district, which will allow the regionalization of public services and strengthen the partnership between the municipal water treatment service wastewater and public authorities in Causeni.
