In the case of table grapes, the quantity exported to the EU was 34.1 thousand tons in 2025, compared to 33.4 thousand tons in 2024. The value of deliveries amounted to 39.8 million U.S. dollars, compared to 46.5 million dollars in the previous year.

At the same time, exports of plums to the EU totaled 46.3 thousand tons in 2025, compared to 48.2 thousand tons in 2024. The value of deliveries amounted to 41.3 million U.S. dollars, compared to 40.9 million dollars in the previous year.

Since the summer of 2022, Moldova has benefited from a temporary trade liberalization regime with the EU for seven agri-food products. Last year, the European Union expanded access for Moldovan agricultural products to the European market. For plums, table grapes, sweet cherries and apples, the quotas that can be exported duty-free were increased, while for garlic, tomatoes and grape juice full liberalization was applied.
