Moldovan authorities approved new regional development aid map
Chisinau, Sep 12 /MOLDPRES/- As of 10 September 2024, a new map of state aid for regional development in the Republic of Moldova valid for 2024-2027 entered into force. It has been approved by the Plenum of the Competition Council by a recent amendment to the Regulation on assessment of state aid for regional development.
The map is the act that identifies the regions eligible for state aid for regional development, as well as the maximum allowable aid intensity for each region.
The amendments are also part of a wider effort to align national legislation with that of the European Union, in line with the commitments undertaken by the Republic of Moldova through the Association Agreement with the EU. The new regulation reflects the European Union's regional state aid guidelines.
