Quarantine regime established in village from north Moldova district
Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - Quarantine regime today was established in the Branzeni village, northern Edinet district, where a new hotbed of infections with coronavirus was registered.
„We hope that the measures undertaken in this village will diminish the risk of residents’ contamination with COVID-19,’’ Prime Minister Ion Chicu said after a today’s meeting of the Single Command Centre.
The PM noted that, according to information by the Defence and Interior Ministries, the situation was stable and was improving in the settlements already placed in quarantine.
At present, quarantine regime works in the Soroca city, Stefan Voda and Glodeni towns, Carahasani and Talmaza villages. Also, quarantine is established under local decision in Sangerei.
The villages of Sofia and Balceana, Hancesti district, which were the first to be isolated in Moldova, got out of quarantine.
Under regulations, the quarantine period ends in 14 days, if no case of infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus is identified.
