Two localities in northern Moldova to have own coat of arms, flag
Chisinau, 25 Octber /MOLDPRES/- Sofia village, Drochia district and Căinarii Vechi, Soroca district have registered their own coat of arms and flag. Presidential decrees in this regard were published in the Official Journal on 22 October.
The coat of arms of the village of Sofia represents a green field, on which is printed the image of Saint Sophia - the Wisdom of God. The shield is stamped with a village gold crown. The flag is a green square cloth, with the image of Sophia - the Wisdom of God in the middle.
The coat of arms of Căinarii Vechi village represents a red field, a narrow strip wavy of gold, lowered and accompanied by a shepherd standing, looking ahead, wearing national clothes, fur coat, hawk hat on his head and shoes, holding a crutch in his right hand. supported on the ground and flanked by two sheep grazing, facing each other, all silver, and down by a pike in fascia, of the same metal. The shield is stamped with a village gold crown.
The flag of the locality represents a red square cloth, with yellow sole, wearing in the middle a shepherd standing, looking forward, wearing national clothes, fur coat, hawk hat on his head and shoes, holding in his right hand a crutch supported on the ground and flanked of two sheep grazing, facing each other, all white.
