PAS faction to have new MP

The parliamentary faction of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova will have a new MP, after the Constitutional Court validated the mandate of Silvia Bondarenco.

The decision was adopted at today’s session, following the examination of the proposal submitted by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), which requested the validation of the mandate of the substitute candidate from the PAS list.

The Court session was attended by CEC president Angelica Caraman, the representative of the parliamentary faction, as well as Silvia Bondarenco.

Following deliberations, the Constitutional Court judges accepted the CEC’s request and validated the parliamentary mandate.

The vacancy arose after the resignation of MP Nicolae Botgros, elected on the list of the same party.
