Licurici Theatre hoisted European Union flag, affirming belonging to European cultural family

The Republican Puppet Theatre Licurici hoisted the European Union flag on the facade of the institution today, marking with this symbolic gesture its belonging to the European cultural family and its commitment to promote modern artistic values, international collaborations, and a repertoire inspired by the European heritage of puppet theatre.

The tricolor of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union flag now flutter together on the theatre's building. Representatives of the institution emphasize that puppetry has deep roots in the European theatrical tradition, and 'Licurici' continues this heritage through creation, dialogue, and openness towards the young audience.

'We are delighted that this event was successful for us, as we are the ones implementing these values from a young age. The Republican Puppet Theatre 'Licurici' reconfirms once again that puppet theatre has no boundaries,' stated the director of the institution, Ala Toma.

The event took place under the slogan 'Licurici Theatre – part of Europe's cultural family,' a message that reflects the institution's mission to cultivate modern artistic standards and strengthen cultural ties between the Republic of Moldova and European states.
