VIDEO // Ministry of Culture urges citizens to put down their phones and discover art

The Ministry of Culture has launched an awareness video spot encouraging citizens to spend more time engaging with art, heritage, and the cultural values of the Republic of Moldova, instead of excessively using mobile phones.

Through the message “Put down your phone, discover art!”, the institution draws attention to the importance of maintaining an active connection with cultural spaces and national heritage, at a time when technology and mobile devices occupy an ever-increasing part of everyday life.

According to the Ministry of Culture, museums, theatres, libraries, concert halls, and art galleries offer the opportunity to learn about the history, artistic creation, and values that have contributed to shaping the cultural identity of the Republic of Moldova.

“At a time when we are increasingly absorbed by our phones, it becomes all the more important to stay connected to art, heritage, and culture,” the institution’s message reads.

The authorities emphasize that access to culture helps preserve collective memory and strengthen the connection with the values that define society. In this context, citizens are encouraged to turn their attention to the cultural offerings available throughout the country and to rediscover the national heritage.

The campaign is carried out under the slogan “Put down your phone, discover the heritage and culture of the Republic of Moldova!”, promoting public participation in cultural activities and visits to cultural institutions.
