Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with delegation of parliamentary friendship group of Germany's Bundestag
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri on July 16 had a meeting with the delegation of the parliamentary group of friendship with Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria from the Bundestag of Germany, which paid a fact-finding visit to Moldova.
During the discussions, the sides addressed developments in the eastern districts of the country, the dynamics of the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol, the alarming human rights situation in the region, as well as the measures taken by the Moldovan authorities to promote coherent reintegration policies, protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens and eliminate disparities between the two banks of the Dniester River.
Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri expressed appreciation for the constant support of Germany in upholding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. He reiterated the need for activities and assistance projects targeting the Transnistrian segment to be aligned with the objective of reintegrating the country.
