PHOTO // Carolers of Moldova brought holiday traditions and joy to Parliament

Over 620 carolers from across the country brought holiday traditions and joy to Parliament. The guests showcased winter customs and conveyed the warm holiday atmosphere as part of 'It's the Caroling Season' program.

The northern part of the country was represented by artistic groups that preserve and pass down local traditions and customs.

The holiday spirit was also conveyed by artists and ensembles from the central part of the country. A surprise was also prepared by children attending the Child Room within the parliamentary institution.

The southern part of the country completed the program with beautiful moments—carols and customs inherited from ancestors. From this region came students from the 'Maria Bieșu' School of Arts in Ștefan Vodă, as well as representatives of the ethno-folkloric group 'Meșterițele' from Cantemir. Furthermore, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, and Gagauz community traditions were presented by students from the 'P. Parlicov' cultural-sport complex in the city of Tvardița, the 'Vasile Suhomlinski' Theoretical High School in Edineț, artistic groups 'Bucaktan kizlar', 'Allegro', as well as children attending kindergarten no. 5 in Ceadîr-Lunga. From Taraclia came students from the local gymnasium, who presented Bulgarian customs.

An emotional moment was offered by young people from the 'Republican House of Culture for the Deaf of Moldova', who performed a carol in sign language.

The carolers were rewarded with gifts offered by event partners, who encourage the promotion of folk traditions and local producers.
