Applications for getting agricultural subsidies can be submitted by 31 October

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/- Farmers wishing to apply for state subsidies can submit applications by 31 October. So far, about 2 thousand applications have been submitted worth about 430 million lei, and farmers' accounts have already got total subsidies of 230 million lei.

“From what we have managed so far to pay, including last year's arrears, we have used about 480 million lei. More than 400 million lei will be available for the next period, which will be paid to farmers by late 2018," AIPA Director Nicolae Ciubuc said.

Ciubuc also said that this year, there are 40% more subsidy applications than in 2017. "As a rule, in the second part of September and in October, we witnessed the largest flow of producers addressing our territorial offices to submit subsidy applications,” he said.

This year, the total value of the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development is 900 million lei.
