
Average monthly salary increases by 12 per cent in Moldova
Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - The average monthly salary increased by 12 per cent in the third quarter of 2018 against the same period of the last year and amounted to 6,507 lei.
Thus, the salary of the budgetary sector employees stood at 5,624 lei, - by 12.7 per cent more against the third quarter of 2017. At the same time, in the economic sector, the wage was of 6,845 lei, recording an 11.6-per cent growth.
According to data by the National Statistics Bureau (BNS), the highest salaries – 14,000 lei, were earned by employees of the information and telecommunications sector. They are followed by wage earners of the financial sector and the one on production of electric and thermal energy. The employees of the art, agriculture and public nourishment sectors have the lowest salaries.
The index of the real salary income for the third quarter of 2018 against the same period of 2017 was of 108.9 per cent, increasing by 8.9 per cent.
