Moldovan parliament speaker meets Moldovans from Italy, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Austria
Even though they are thousands of kilometers away from home, our Moldovans stay deeply connected and involved in everything happening in Moldova. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has conveyed a message to this effect. He met Moldovans from Italy, Ireland, Germany, Portugal and Austria.
The official and Diaspora Moldovans discussed the significant achievements for citizens at home and abroad.
“In Verona, in the heart of Italy, I experienced quite beautiful emotions along with our colleagues from PAS Diaspora of Italy, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Austria, and not only. During the PAS Diaspora conference, we discussed what we are building day by day for all our people—at home and abroad. I listened to each one, in order to better understand how our fellow citizens view Moldova from a distance, but with their hearts still in the country,” said Igor Grosu.
The speaker emphasized that Diaspora Moldovans were ready to contribute whatever they can for Moldova to become a European country.
“The year 2025 is crucial for our future and I was pleased to see our Moldovans, as always, ready to contribute whatever they can, so that Moldova becomes a European, free and prosperous country. I have been convinced once again that our Moldovans can and succeed wherever they are, through goodwill, hard work and kindness. Together, wherever we are, we will succeed in building a European Moldova!” said Igor Grosu.
At the same time, the official urged Moldovans with Romanian citizenship to participate in the presidential elections in Romania and to vote “for a strong and European Romania!”
