Less bureaucracy for businesses
Entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova may soon benefit from a much more flexible legal framework for starting and developing businesses. Thus, 34 documents will be eliminated or transformed into non-permissive procedures, and 52 will be reviewed or improved. A bill to this effect has been adopted by the economic, budget and finance committee.
The legislative initiative, developed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization with the support of the World Bank aims to reduce administrative burdens, increase transparency and fully digitize authorization processes.
Authorities will be required to fully digitize the document issuance processes, a measure that will come into effect within two years from the publication of the law in the Official Journal.
The authors estimate that about 70% of existing documents will be reformed, and the measures will generate annual savings of about 10 million lei for entrepreneurs.
