Deputy Prime Minister presented Moldova’s infrastructure investment opportunities in Greece

The opportunities for cooperation in developing the Republic of Moldova’s infrastructure were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea with representatives of the Greek companies GEK TERNA and Goldair Handling during the international forum - Transport Investment Summit held in Thessaloniki.

During the meeting, the parties addressed prospects for collaboration in the field of transport infrastructure and reviewed the experience of Greek companies in implementing major infrastructure, energy, and airport services projects in Southeast Europe.

“We discussed opportunities for cooperation in developing airport and logistics infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the experience of these companies in implementing major transport, energy, and infrastructure projects in Southeast Europe,” said Bolea.

The minister noted that the experience of international investors can help accelerate the modernization of infrastructure and strengthen the Republic of Moldova’s connectivity with regional and European markets.

“Moldova needs partners who bring investment, expertise, and modern solutions. We are continuing the dialogue with investors and companies that can contribute to modernizing infrastructure and increasing our country’s connectivity,” underlined Bolea.

The Transport Investment Summit is taking place on 17–18 June 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece, bringing together ministers of transport, representatives of international financial institutions, the European Union, and the private sector from Southeast Europe. The event is organized by the Transport Community together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank, and is hosted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport of Greece.
