
Moldova’s air company to launch straight flights to Tel – Aviv in March
Chisinau, 01 March /MOLDPRES/ – Air Moldova announces that it will launch straight flights to Tel – Aviv starting with 06 March, twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays, according to a press release from the airline.
The flights will be made with an aircraft Airbus 320, and prices for this race start from €99 in one direction, with all taxes included.
According to the BNS’s info service, in 2017, 22,861 citizens of Israel crossed state border of Moldova, out of which 12,937 benefited from services of airlines on routes with stopovers. Israel ranks 11th in the top of countries which tourists or excursionists were set in Moldovan tourist accommodation structures, show official statistics.
The number of Moldovans working in Israel is impressive, considering volume of money transfers made by banks to individuals. According to the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), remittances in Israel amounted to $205 million in 2017, representing 17.1 per cent of total transfers. Israel ranks second in this chapter after Russia, which held a 33.6 per cent ($402.63 million) share of total in 2017.
At present, Air Moldova operates direct flights to 30 destinations in Europe and Asia, including Athens, Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Bucharest, Dubai, Dublin, Florence, Frankfurt, Geneva, Istanbul, Larnaca, Lisbon, London, Krasnodar, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Venice, Verona, Vienna, Sankt – Petersburg and Turin, plus seasonal races – Antalya, Corfu, Tivat, Zakynthos and Sharm el – Sheikh.
