Moldova–India business forum organized on July 20
The Investment Agency has invited entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova to participate in Moldova–India Business Forum, which will take place on July 20 in Chișinău. The event is organized in the context of the visit to our country of President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu, who will be accompanied by an official delegation of around 40 businesspeople.
According to the Investment Agency, the event aims to strengthen economic cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of India by promoting trade and investment opportunities and facilitating direct dialogue between the business communities of the two states.
The forum will bring together companies active in sectors with collaboration potential, such as infrastructure and construction, manufacturing, information technology, renewable energy, the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, and agri-food processing.
Participation in the event offers companies from the Republic of Moldova the opportunity to establish new partnerships, identify export and investment opportunities, and interact directly with representatives of the authorities and the business community from India. Interested companies are invited to register by filling out an online form by July 17.
India remains one of the world’s largest economies and an important player in international trade, with significant potential for developing economic cooperation with the Republic of Moldova.
According to statistics, in 2025, the direct exports of the Republic of Moldova to India amounted to about 259.4 thousand US dollars. The largest share in the export structure is held by machinery and mechanical appliances (about 44%), followed by edible fruits, mainly apples (about 21%), optical and medical instruments (about 18%), and pharmaceutical products (about 16%).
