Moldova Business Week 2025 begins in Chișinău

The country's most important economic forum - Moldova Business Week (MBW) - was inaugurated today in Chișinău. Attending the event, Prime Minister Dorin Recean invited foreign companies to invest in our country, noting that Moldova offers a friendly and competitive environment for business development.

The event, now in its 10th edition, will run until September 19, in 10 key regions - Orhei, Chișinău, Ungheni, Călărași, Cahul, Giurgiulești, Bălți, Strășeni, Comrat and Tiraspol. It brings together over 1,500 participants from more than 40 countries: foreign investors, local entrepreneurs, high-ranking officials and top economic experts.

The MBW 2025 agenda includes 33 events dedicated to the strategic sectors of the national economy, providing updated information on the economic potential of the Republic of Moldova, future projects, and opportunities for local and international businesses.

"During Moldova Business Week 2025, we highlight the importance of local and international investments that contribute to the development of the Moldovan economy and the creation of opportunities for investors. Businesses in Moldova now have the opportunity to grow and expand into new markets with the support of new government policies. Through the digitization of services and the simplification of administrative procedures, Moldova offers a friendly and competitive environment for business operations. We invite local companies and international partners to take advantage of these opportunities and invest in the future of the Republic of Moldova," said Recean.

"The Republic of Moldova is a country whose future I deeply care about," said Iwona Piorko, head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova. "Economically, Moldova has made remarkable steps toward integration into the EU Single Market. Just a few days ago, we marked 11 years since the entry into force of the EU-Moldova Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, a powerful tool for economic modernization," the official emphasized.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor addressed a special message to Moldovan entrepreneurs.

"Today's success would not be possible without your hard work and courage. Thank you for the trust and energy you invest daily in your businesses, your communities, and the future of our country," said Doina Nistor.

Investment Agency director Natalia Bejan mentioned that the tenth edition of Moldova Business Week aims to highlight all the investment and business opportunities offered by the Republic of Moldova, presenting successful examples of investors who are already contributing to the development of the national economy.

This year's edition of Moldova Business Week 2025 puts special emphasis on the country's industrialization goals, Moldova IT Park facilities, energy, infrastructure, and Moldova's role in the reconstruction of Ukraine process. A key moment of the event is the launch of new initiatives and tools to attract investments.

The Investment Map, a digital platform that will highlight investment opportunities across the country's regions, will be presented at MBW, as well as the launch of a new tender for renewable energy and storage projects.

For the second year in a row, MBW is organized not only by the Government, through the Investment Agency, but also in partnership with 16 co-organizers - business associations and public institutions that bring the voice of the private sector to the discussion table alongside that of the authorities.

Moldova Business Week 2025 is a unique platform for connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers. The event facilitates direct dialogue between the business community and decision-makers, contributing to the development of sustainable partnerships and the attraction of investments.
