Young people from France, European Economic Area to be able to take part in professional internships at companies of Moldova

Young French citizens and those from the European Economic Area will be able to carry out professional internships at companies of Moldova. They will have the opportunity to gain practical experience, become familiar with the local economic environment and help strengthen cooperation between the two states.

This opportunity will be provided on the basis of the Agreement between the governments of Moldova and France on the International Volunteer Programme in Enterprise, approved by the Moldovan government today.

Young people aged between 18 and 28 will be able to benefit from the opportunities offered by the Agreement.

At the cabinet meeting, Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin said that this Agreement was an effective instrument for professional cooperation between the sides, facilitating the participation of young French citizens and those from the European Economic Area in professional internship missions carried out within the branches of French companies or their partners.

“As a result of the Agreement’s implementation, both young people and the business community will benefit from more advantages, such as the consolidation of professional training through the transfer of knowledge and best practices, the development of local employees and cooperation in mixed teams, as well as the French economic presence in Moldova, which will encourage foreign direct investments in the local private sector,” said Daniella Misail-Nichitin.

During the mission, the Moldovan side, in accordance with national legislation, will issue residence permits or residence cards for the beneficiaries of this programme, on the basis of verbal notes sent by the Embassy of France.

The Agreement between the governments of Moldova and France on the International Volunteer Programme in Enterprise was signed in Chisinau on 20 November 2025.
