Decisions announced by CTESP Orhei on operation of schools, public events illegal
Chisinau, January 23 / MOLDPRES /- In the context of the decisions approved by the Extraordinary Territorial Commission of Public Health (CTESP) from Orhei district, the Government of the Republic of Moldova comes with some important clarifications: the decisions announced by CTESP Orhei are null and the derogation from the decisions) are a violation of the law, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
On January 21, the Extraordinary Public Health Commission of Orhei district met in a meeting, and its members came up with decisions that contradict those approved at the country level, which is an abuse. The decisions of CTESP Orhei, which allow the further development of the study process in general and extracurricular institutions with the physical presence of students and the unrestricted conduct of public events and family events with the participation of a large number of people, are null and void.
We remind you that only the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health (CNESP) is the authority that establishes the rules in the crisis situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic. It includes leaders of several state institutions involved in the management of the pandemic, epidemiologists and specialists in clinical medicine. Each decision is discussed, argued, based on the experience of other countries, but also on the recommendations of international organizations such as the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the World Health Organization ( WHO).
The Extraordinary Territorial Commissions of Public Health (CTESP) are the commissions at the level of local authorities. CNESP decisions are binding on CTESP.
The government ordered the specialized state institutions to verify the legality of all actions taken by CTESP Orhei.
