Moldovan delegation to Joint Control Commission asks Tiraspol to give up provocative actions, infringement of Security Zone's regime
Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) had a working meeting in Bender today, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The issue of the posts of the Transnistrian structures, set abusively and without JCC’s coordination, represented the main subject tackled by the Chisinau delegation. Their presence in the Security Zone was covered in three weekly reports presented at the meeting of the Joint Military Command.
Moldova’s Delegation said that the illegal posts and the armed representatives of the power wielding forces subordinated to Tiraspol should not be in the perimeter of the responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces and asked to withdraw them.
The Moldovan Delegation noted that the Transnistrian representatives’ unilateral actions, as well as their attempts to distort facts and reinterpret the documents of the peacekeeping operation at Dniester triggered blockages in the work of JCC, Joint Military Command and ran counter the ceasefire agreement from 21 July 1992.
In its declaration, spread to the participants in the JCC meeting, Moldova’s Delegation asked the participants in the meeting to formulate a just assessment of Tiraspol’s provocative actions. At the same time, the Transnistrian region’s delegation was called to return to constructivism, to cease the confrontation-oriented approaches and the generation of dissensions within the Joint Control Commission and the Joint Military Command.
The participants in the meeting took no decisions on the subjects considered and the discussions will be resumed on 7 July 2022.
