Moldovan head of state attends ceremony on graduation at Technical University of Moldova
Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today participated in the ceremony of graduation of the 2022 series of students from the Moldovan Technical University (UTM). On this occasion, the head of state in front of new 831 engineers expressed confidence that engineering was a promising sector in Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.
„We have ambitious plans of improving the infrastructure. We have to construct bridges, roads, railways; we must make the transition to the renewable energy. Presently, a good deal of the modern life is held online and without good specialists in this field, no country can be integrated in the world economy, cannot work in the 21st century,’’ Maia Sandu said.
At the same time, she encouraged the UTM graduates to work at home, in Moldova. ‘’There are dozens of sectors which can represent a challenge for innovators and which expect ingenious solutions. We have companies which are waiting for creative minds and provide motivating salaries. I am sure that the demand for the work of engineers will continue to increase and there will be numerous opportunities of professional self-assertion in Moldova,’’ the head of state said.
„I appreciated the fact that the Technical University had managed in the last years to significantly improve the conditions and quality of the education process. The fact that many present graduates already have a job is a clear proof in this respect. There are things which, for sure, represent a strong motivation and an extra reason for inspiration for the future students in engineering, who will come to UTM in next autumn – a strong school and future opportunities which any young professional wants to have,’’ President Maia Sandu added.
