Media service providers, broadcasters, advertisers can broadcast only public interest messages approved by Moldovan Central Electoral Commission

Media service providers, broadcasters, and advertisers will be entitled to broadcast only public interest messages that are regularly approved by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) starting from July 14, 2025, till the day when the election results are confirmed by the Constitutional Court.

According to the CEC, all public interest messages must be created and broadcast in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the way of providing, distributing and broadcasting political advertising, electoral advertisements and public interest messages.

At the same time, in accordance with the Regulation on the organization and carrying out of opinion polls and exit polls on the electoral period, "during the electoral period for any type of elections or referendums, the right to conduct opinion polls and exit polls is given to research/survey legal entities and/or relevant public associations registered in Moldova and which have got authorization from the Central Electoral Commission".

Requests for authorization to conduct opinion polls must be submitted to the Commission with the set of documents indicated in the aforementioned Regulation.

The deadline for requesting authorization for opinion polls during the electoral period is September 18, 2025, inclusively.
